The Org Psych Discussion Group on Tuesday 5 May was on psychometric assessments – what makes a good one and what is their place in today’s environment. During the discussion on Leadership Development Programmes we started down a rabbit hole talking about assessment so it was a good opportunity to have a fuller discussion.

The talk was based on a chapter Ian Wilson and John Eatwell wrote on the use of psychometric assessments and a review of a test as an example. In the talk we went through the key criteria to look at in evaluating a psychometric assessment and the worked example. The application to selection processes was discussed.
